Kurt Koffka (Berlin, March 18, 1886 - 1941) was a Gestalt psychologist. Inside 1909 he received his PhD from either a University of Berlin. Together by owning Wolfgang Köhler he became assistant at a University of Frankfurt, where he worked by having Max Wertheimer.

From either 1911 to 1927 he taught at a University of Giessen. There he wrote Incubation of the Mind: An Introduction to Developmental psychology (1921). Inside 1922 he introduced the gestalt programme using an article in the Psychological Bulletin to readers in the USA. From either 1927 forrader he taught in the United states at Smith College. There he published Information of Gestalt Psychology (1935).
